MetaQuotes announced this week that the 6th Automated Trading Championship is now officially underway. The latest edition of this Expert Advisors competition is being run on the MT5 platform and programming representatives from 59 countries are currently participating. - Trading Grinds To A Slow, Steady Crawl
Over the last few days the trading on our live EA leaderboard seems to have slowed down a great deal. It appears as if our beloved bots are now trading through a thick Forex syrup. You will sometimes find that even your own robots will go through a 'consolidation' or 'retracement' phase. This is completely normal and does occur every once in a while. It does not mean that the robot is broken or has stopped working either. It simply means that the markets may be a bit slow or valid trade signals may be scarce. Remember, avoiding bad trading conditions is just as important as finding good trading conditions for our beloved trading bot. So for this week, it's a case of 'as we were' with none of our robots posting any exceptional gains. We did see a few of the stragglers come out of the red after a bad run, so for now we will monitor the situation and see how it pans out over the next few days.
